The hands he cupped no longer had icy cold skin. He kept her on his lap, suffering the heat from the fire and blanket, making sure she did not need more warmth and that her rest was a normal sort. With luck she would feel no ill effects of this misadventure. He could put her in her bed now and pile quilts on her. She fell asleep in his arms, her head resting on his shoulder and her breath teasing his ear. She had changed into a blue dress with little adornment. He only realized her presence when the scent of the household soap reached him. So it was that Miss Lee arrived without his awareness. Since it was a topic of interest, he soon became engrossed.

He settled into a stuffed chair in the library with a book on thoroughbred breeding. He judged it to be a couple hundred years old at least. Dark papers on the walls, too, and a few floors paved in tiles instead of boards. More dark wood panels than was fashionable now. It was an old house, and handsome in its way. A morning room, long and narrow, stretched across the back of the house. Besides the large sitting room, he visited a small library and a chamber that served as a study or office. Oh could not be found there, but something delicious smelling cooked in the hearth in a cauldron. Ten minutes later he walked through an empty house, in search of his boots. He grabbed the fork off his tray and headed for the door. Oh had not returned to the kitchen door, the house might well be empty now. Why would she be going to feed the horses alone? The men must be occupied elsewhere. The same lips and dark eyes showed beneath the brim of the man’s hat before the figure turned.

Right before the driver turned to sit again, he turned his face upward, as if looking at the window from which Hyunjin watched.

Oh walked away, down the length of the house. Hyunjin realized that someone had come out of the house down below him. The wagon stopped not far from the house. Hyunjin wondered where the other two male were. The wagon came into view, beginning its little journey toward that hill. The movement outside caught his eyes, taking him back to his surroundings. The goal might be a ransom, but the motivation was revenge. He knew where he was and probably why he was here. He recalled how Y/N had looked familiar in some way. The two men began throwing bales onto the ground while the wagon slowly moved. A small herd of them galloped toward the wagon and its hay. Hyunjin squinted at the overcast, snow-filtered distance. The spots trickled down the land toward the wagon. As they did, spots appeared on the crest of the nearest hill. The three of them flowed away, getting smaller. It had appeared that the young freckled man who abducted Hyunjin had climbed into the wagon. Oh had been driving the horse at the wagon. At the same time, the wagon rolled into view. The two figures, all bundled and hatted against the cold, climbed on the wagon then it aimed toward the rolling landscape.Mr. Fifteen minutes later two figures came up the steps down below.

The font is named for her so her contributions to modern printing and typography (Baskerville was instrumental in transforming the art and industry and he couldn’t have done it without her) won’t be entirely lost to time. Eventually, after her estranged trash husband died and set her free, Sarah and Baskerville got married and lived happily ever after, living the dream typesetting and running the presses (literally, this is my dream). She started helping him with typesetting and printing and if you’re guessing that they fELl iN LOvE you would be absolutely right (I have zero interest in entertaining any version of this where it was anything other than a love match, let me live). The design is based on Baskerville (another beautiful font) and it's named after Sarah Eaves, John Baskerville’s live-in housekeeper who he took in after her trash husband abandoned her and their five children. Obviously, I love this font because it’s elegant and versatile and just all-around beautifully rendered but I also adore it for its backstory. Buckle up kids, you’re about to find out the exact degree of nerd I am.
